In the Back UP Project I researched the (id)entity of human beings by means of their backs. Is it just a blank canvas, or an artboard for tattoos, piercings or bondage? What does the back say about someone?

In 2011 I started this interesting journey, which comes to an end in a coffee table book in 2017. Over 50 people came to my studio and revealed themselves, both physical and mental. Very precious moments, that at least made me believe there’s a lot of kind people out there.
